I agree, the auto-narration is probably fine for essays and factual posts we might listen to whilst doing something else, but it lacks the emotional performance needed to make stories engaging.
To me a real voice even if it diverts slightly from the text will always be far superior because of the natural rise and fall of the voice which establishes a point of connection with the listener
Yes, I clicked play at the top it reads pretty well but it reads EVERYTHING (your headers the chapter markers “asterisk asterisk 1 asterisk…” That’s probably the only thing that I don’t care for
